e-Kidz

We are thankful for the privilege and opportunity to partner with you as you entrust your children into our care. We believe that the local church is called to assist parents in the spiritual development of their children. At Wellspring, we seek to come alongside every family to impart God's truth and love into the hearts of their children. We desire to nurture, teach, love, encourage, instruct, admonish and empower children in a structured, fun and loving environment. We anticipate the progressive spiritual growth and development of every child who enters e-Kidz.

What curriculum will be used for e-Kidz?

We use the 252 Basics curriculum. It is based on Luke 2:52 which states that "Jesus increased in wisdom, in stature and in favor with God and man." The three "big ideas" that will be conveyed in e-Kidz are...

  • I should make the wise choice.
  • I can trust God no matter what.
  • I should treat others the way I want to be treated.

These principles are conveyed through the teaching of 36 virtues which are made clear through Bible stories. Included in these virtues are contentment, determination, knowledge, gratitude, generosity, fairness, resourcefulness, humility, self-control and honor.

What are the registration and check-in procedures for my child?

  • Each child can be registered by filling out a one-time registration form at the e-Kidz Welcome Desk located in the lobby area of the school. The registration form is available in PDF format. Feel free to print it, complete it and bring it at the time of your initial visit to e-Kidz in order to expedite the registration process.
  • Upon arriving to church each week, parents should check their child in at the e-Kidz Welcome Desk. After signing their child in on the Sign-in Sheet, the child will receive a nametag and the parent will receive a security tag that matches their child's ID number.
  • Parents have the opportunity to experience family worship until the children are dismissed after the Kidz Corner Devotional.
  • During e-Kidz, the children will experience storytelling through drama, praise and worship, creative hands-on activities, small group discussion, Scripture memory, offering, prayer and a simple gospel presentation.
  • Immediately following the worship service, parents should pick up their children and sign them out.

What is my responsibility as a parent?

In order for your child to get the maximum benefit from e-Kidz, it is important that you review the "big idea" of the lesson during the week. You will be given a simple method for integrating the review process into the course of normal life. When you sign your child out each week, be sure to pick up the Refrigerator Door and God Time Cards.

What can I do to help e-Kidz to run more smoothly each week?

  • Ensure that your child is in good health (i.e. no runny noses, fever or other symptoms of illness) before dropping them off. We want to consider the other children and prevent the unnecessary spread of germs and illness.
  • Ensure that your child has used the restroom before worship service so that we may focus on transitioning them into the classroom setting more smoothly and quickly.
  • Send your child to class with a full stomach since we will not be equipped to serve snacks.
  • Retain your child's coats, jackets or other outer wear to minimize the incidence of lost items.
  • Communicate any special instructions (i.e. alternate pickup) on the Sign-in Sheet.

What if my family prefers to worship together?

You are welcome to participate in family worship. Children who remain in the worship service with their parents have the opportunity to enjoy praise and worship and our Kidz Corner Devotional time during which the pastor shares biblical principles on a child's level. A Children's Worship Bulletin which is linked to the sermon's theme is available for the children during the morning message. It includes color pages, puzzles, word finds and a variety of other activities.
